ABILENE, Texas - The UT Dallas overcame a double-digit deficit to defeat McMurry 51-47 at Kimbrell Arena Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Comets improve to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in American Southwest Conference play, while the War Hawks move to 7-4 and 2-4 in the league.
McMurry shot 50 percent (13-for-26) in the first half and led by as many as 12 points before taking a 33-25 lead into the break.
UTDÂ outscored the home team 13-4 in the third quarter to gan a 38-37 lead at the end of the period.
The teams exchanged leads four times in the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter before a
Cierra Trigg basket gave UTD the lead for good at the 2:01 mark.
For the game, the Comets shots 31 percent (18-for-58) from the field, 8-for-28 from three-point range and 7-for-8 from the line. They also recorded 43 rebounds, 14 assists, three blocks, eight steals and 21 turnovers.
The War Hawks shot 36.7 percent (18-for-49) overall, 7-for-26 from outside and 4-for-8 at the field to go with 32 rebounds, 14 assists, two blocks, eight steals and 23 turnovers.

- Senior guard
Lauren Fulenwider scored a season-high 17 points. She went 5-for-10 from three-point range, including back-to-back threes in the final minute of the game.
- Senior froward
Diane Hurst recorded 12 points, five rebounds and career-best two blocks.

Amanda Crowninshield had five rebounds and three assists.
- Junior guard
Blythe Williams tied her season-high with six rebounds and dished out a career-best four assists.

Maggie Delascurain also had a season-high six rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.

- Emily Holland led the War Hawks with 17 points to go with three rebounds and three assists.
- Kylie Flippin scored eight points with four boards.
