ABILENE, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball lost 83-60 against #23 Hardin-Simmons in the final American Southwest Conference game of 2022 at the Mabee Complex Monday afternoon.
The Comets (5-5, 3-2 ASC) shot 53.8 percent (14-for-26) in the first half, while the Cowgirls (9-2, 6-0 ASC) shot 61.5 percent (16-for-26) allowing the home team to take a 44-32 lead into halftime. HSU made seven three-pointers in the first half, while UTD made just one.
The Cowgirls continued their hot shooting in the second half and would lead by as many as 26.
For the game, the Comets shot 43.4 percent (23-for-53) overall, 2-for-16 from three-point range and 12-of-22 at the line. They also recorded 22 rebounds, nine assists, seven steals and 12 turnovers.
HSU shot 60.9 percent (28-for-46) from the field, 12-for-24 from outside and 15-of-18 at the stripe with 30 rebounds, 16 assists, three blocks, six steals and 17 turnovers.
UT Dallas Notes
- Senior guard
Jordan Maxwell led all scorers with a career-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting.
- Senior center
Diane Hurst had 14 points, four boards and a pair of steals.
- Junior guard
Blythe Williams also had a career-high of 12 points to go with six rebounds.
- Freshman
Amanda Crowninshield scored seven points and dished out three assists off the bench.

- Four players led the Cowgirls with 15 points.
- Parris Parmer scored 15 points with six rebounds and two blocks.
- Hallie Edmondson also scored 15 to go with four boards and three assists.
- She'Ray Wilson added 15 points and two steals and Kiki Gonzlales recorded 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting.
- Natasha Blizzard led all players with eight rebounds.
