RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball picked up another American Southwest Conference victory, defeating Ozarks 70-45 at the UTD Activity Center Wednesday evening.
The Comets (4-4, 2-1 ASC) set the pace early, jumping out to an 8-0 lead over the first five minutes. They led by as many as 14 in the first quarter, but the Eagles (4-5, 1-2 ASC) manged to tie it at 24-24 before UTD finished the half with a 10-0 run.Â
The home team continued the scoring in the second half, leading by as many as 27 late in the game.
Overall, the Comets shot 38.7 percent (29-for-75) from the field, 5-for-20 from outside and 7-for-10 at the line. They also pulled down a season-best 48 rebounds, including 22 on the offensive side, to go with 18 assists, 15 steals, five blocks and 15 turnovers.
Ozarks shot 31.9 overall (15-for-47), 4-for-14 for three-pointers and 11-for-15 at the line with 45 rebounds, seven assists, six steals, five blocks and 24 turnovers.

- Senior forward
Diane Hurst led the Comets with 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting.Â

Blythe Williams had a season-best nine points to go with four rebounds, two steals and a pair of blocks.

Amanda Crowninshield added eight points with a season-high six assists, four steals and two blocks.
- Sophomore guard
Trystan Clark came up with a career-best eight points with five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.Â
