DURANT, OK (03.09.22) - Comet
Tisha Nakakes-Nguyen had an impressive outing at No. 6 singles, but the UT Dallas women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the spring, 6-1, at NCAA D-II Southeastern Oklahoma.
Out of the gates, SOSU controlled courts two and three, winning all but one game to take the doubles point from UTD. On court 1,
Samantha Wong and
Elyssa Ducret took care of business securing a 7-5 victory.
Nakakes-Nguyen cruised past SOSU's Georgia Hosking, 7-6, 6-3, to avoid the shutout for the Comets. Ducret took the second set after dropping the first one to force a third stanza at No. 3 singles.
The Comet women will be idle until Friday, March 18, where they will head to Atlanta to face Emory.
