RICHARDSON, TX (04.09.22) - The No. 29-ranked UT Dallas women's tennis team needed little time to collect its third consecutive win to open ASC East Division play Saturday afternoon in a 9-0 shutout of Belhaven at the UTD Tennis Courts.
The Comets (7-2, 3-0 ASC East) sailed through doubles play, giving up just two games to Belhaven, before adding six straight-sets singles victories. UTD had four wins in singles play of 6-0, 6-0. With Saturday's victory, the Comets locked up at least a share of a fourth-consecutive ASC division crown and earned the right host the ASC Tournament later this month.
