MARSHALL, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball team moved to 3-1 in American Southwest Conference play, defeating East Texas Baptist 19-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-14 at Ornelas Gymnasium Tuesday evening.
The host Tigers (11-2, 3-2 ASC) overcame nine ties and five lead changes in the first set, eventually taking it 25-19. The Comets (6-4) managed to lead the entire second set with a three-point victory.
The third set saw six ties and three lead changes, with UTD taking the final three points for the 25-21 win. The Comets were up 16-11 in the fourth before ending the match with a 9-3 run. The visitors hit .412 on six kills in the clinching frame.
For the match, UT Dallas hit .190 on 52 kills, two aces, 91 digs and a season-high 11 blocks. ETBU hit .119 with 46 kills, two aces, 83 digs and seven blocks.
UT Dallas Notes
- Senior outside hitter
Abby Jones posted her fourth consecutive double-double to start conference play, coming up with 14 kills and 16 digs.

Madison Ball, a senior outside, recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 15 kills and 19 digs to go with three blocks.
- Senior right side
Catherine Croft had a career-high seven blocks, including four solo, and also recorded eight kills.
- Junior libero
Rachel Baxter also recorded 19 digs.
- Junior setter
Emma Sevening posted a career-high 18 digs to go with 25 assists.

East Texas Baptist Notes
- Freshman Graycee Mosley led all players with 18 kills and had 19 digs.Â
