CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The UT Dallas women's basketball team pulled into a tie for second place in the American Southwest Conference standings after a 67-45 win at Ozarks at Mabee Gymnasium on Saturday.
The Comets (13-6, 9-3 ASC) and Eagles (7-12, 4-8 ASC) were tied 27-27 at halftime, but UTD outscored UO 40-18 in the second half. The visitors shot 61.5 percent (8-for-13) in the fourth quarter and led by as many as 25.
UTD shot 42.4 percent overall (25-for-59), 4-for-12 from three-point range and 13-of-17 at the free throw line. They also recorded 43 rebounds, eight assists, one block, seven steals and only nine turnovers.
The Eagles shot 29.8 percent (14-for-47) from the field, 5-for-21 from outside and 12-of-17 at the line with 30 boards, seven assists, two blocks, six steals and 13 turnovers.Â
The Comets are tied for second with Mary Hardin-Baylor at 9-3, trailing first-place Hardin-Simmons (13-0) and just ahead of East Texas Baptist (9-4).

- Head coach
Joe Shotland's 13 victories is the most by a first-year head coach in program history, ahead of Polly Thomason's 12 in 2005-06 and Rachelle Leanord's four in 1998-99.

Diane Hurst placed the Comets with 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting off the bench.
- Sophomore guard
Cierra Trigg scored 13 points and senior guard
Jordan Maxwell had 10 points and five rebounds.

Blythe Williams had six points with eight rebounds and two steals.
- Freshman center
Kyra Samuels tied her season-best with six rebounds.
