Comets Come Back to Tie #15 Cru 1-1

BELTON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with #15 Mary Hardin-Baylor in American Southwest Conference action at the Cru Sports Plex Saturday night.

 After a scoreless first half, the Cru (12-0-1, 4-0-1 ASC) took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute on a Mackenzie Worthy goal. 

Comet (8-0-5, 1-0-3 ASC) senior forward Ashlynn Thomas tied the game up with just 6:02 remaining after beating two UMHB players and shooting from just inside the box into the top corner.

This was the third time in four league games that UTD has gone down 1-0 and tied it in the second half to earn a 1-1 decision.

The Cru outshot the Comets 26-5 overall and 11-4 on goal. UMHB also led 8-0 in corner kicks and 10-7 in fouls.

UT Dallas Notes
- The Comets remain unbeaten through 13 games, one off the program record for longest streak without a loss.
- UTD is now 18-10-4 all-time against UMHB. 
- Thomas' goal was the second of the season and also the second game-tying score of the year.
- Junior keeper Jade Press recorded nine saves, one off her season high.
- Bella Granada and Brooke Crow each posted a shot on goal.
- Peyton Guidry, Kaitlyn Futschik, Jenna Wilkinson and Rylyn Reyes played all 90 minutes.
- Freshman midfielder Sabrina Floyd made her collegiate debut and becomes the 298th Comet to appear on the pitch in school history.

Mary Hardin-Baylor Notes
- The tie was the first of the season for the Cru.
- Worthy took three shots on goal.
- Jayme Dowell and Ashley Vensel each had two shots on goal.
- Regan Williams stopped three shots in goal.
- Kelsey White, Malyn Martinson and Maren Fields logged all 90 minutes.
