SHERMAN, Texas - The UT Dallas volleyball lost to Austin 25-18, 26-24, 25-21 at Hughey Gym Tuesday night in non-conference action.

The second-set was the closest which had 11 ties and eight lead changes before the host 'Roos (14-6) pulled out the win.

The Comets (6-11) hit .118 on 39 kills, five aces, three blocks and 55 digs. Austin hit .215 with 35 kills, five aces, six blocks and 54 digs.

UT Dallas Notes
- Senior outside hitter Erin Rogers tied her career-best with 19 kills while hitting .406. 
- Bailey Schievelbein recorded seven kills and 14 digs.
- Freshman Mari Hernandez led the Comets with 16 digs.
- Emma Sevening had 16 assists
- Senior Izzy Sundquist posted 11 assists and seven digs.
- Sophomore Lauren Johnson recorded three blocks, two solos. 

Austin Notes
- Riley Abernathy led the 'Roos with nine kills and had eight digs.
- Olivia Linton also had nine kills and hit .389.
- Brianne Tseng recorded 18 assists.
- Mandison Manning had a double-double of 12 assists and 13 digs.
- Laynie Kovacs led all players with 22 digs.
- Taylor Nemeth had six blocks.
