UTD Women's Soccer Extends Unbeaten Streak to 15

LONGVIEW, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team defeated LeTourneau 2-0 in American Southwest Conference action at LETU Soccer Field Saturday evening.

With the win, the Comets (9-0-6, 2-0-4) extends their unbeaten streak to 15 games, besting the old record of 14 set by the 2018 squad.

With two games left in the regular season, the Comets sit in third place in the ASC standings with the top six qualifying for the championship tournament.

After a scoreless first half, UTD scored on a corner kick by Sierra Foster which was stopped by Ashlynn Thomas and knocked in the goal off her left foot in the 53rd minute. Kate Crowe added an insurance goal in 76th minute after a long kick from keeper Jade Press, switching directions and blowing past three YellowJacket (6-5-5, 0-4-3 ASC) defenders.

The Comets outshot the YellowJackets 25-10 overall and 7-4 on goal. UTD also led 8-1 in corner kicks with LETU committing more fouls, 6-4.

UT Dallas Notes
- UTD improves to 27-1-2 all-time against LeTourneau.
- Thomas recorded her third goal of the season and first game-winner.
- Foster's assist was her team-leading seventh of the year.
- Crowe netted her eight goal of the season which leads the team.
- Press recorded four saves for her 10th shutout of the season and 18th of her career.
- Peyton Guidry and Maddie Meyer logged all 90 minutes as defenders.
- Guidry and Meyer were joined by fellow defenders Jenna Wilkinson, Rylyn Reyes, Skyler Rodrigue and Caitlin Malone to preserve the shutout.

LeTourneau Notes
- Chanel Kemball-Cook took three shots, two on goal to lead the YellowJackets.
- Drew Lessert and Jordan Williams had one shot on goal each.
- Kelauna Cruz stopped five shots in goal.
- Alexa Polonaco, Heather Fellows and Clarissa Martinez played all 90 minutes.
