RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team posted its ninth shutout of the season, defeating Ozarks 3-0 in American Southwest Conference play at the UTD Soccer Field Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first half, the Comets (8-0-3, 1-0-1 ASC) senior
Kate Crowe netted a goal in the 51st minute after a pass from freshman
Maddie Meyer.
A second goal came in the 76th minute off the foot of
Bella Granada, assisted by
Ashlynn Thomas.
Sierra Foster found an open
Melanie Marchant for the final goal with 42 seconds left.
The Comets outshot the Eagles (7-4, 0-2 ASC) 23-4 overall and 11-3 on goal. UTD also had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks while fouls were even at 7-7.
UT Dallas Notes
- UTD now leads the all-time series with Ozarks 23-2-1 with 21 shutouts.
- The 11-game unbeaten streak is tied for the fifth-longest in school history.
- Crowe's goal was her team-leading sixth of the season and third game-winner.
