RICHARDSON, Texas - The #24 UT Dallas women's tennis team only dropped one game in a 6-0 victory over Dallas at UTD Tennis Courts Friday night.
Only scheduled to play two doubles comets, the Comets (4-1) earned a pair of 8-0 victories.
Saumya Vedula and
Rebecca Jackson defeated Ariana Menchaca and Sanskriti Baranwal at number one and
Elyssa Ducret and
Megan Zeng won over Gabrielle Nguyen and Caroline Dodson in the second spot.
The Comets continued the dominance over the Crusaders (0-3) in the four scheduled singles matchups. Senior
Suzuka Nishino, the 10th-ranked player in the nation, defeated Menchaca 6-0, 6-0 at number one. Vedula won over Baranwal 6-0, 6-0 at number two and Jackson defeated Dodson 6-0, 6-0 at number three.
Kriti Parikh won her duels debut by topping Nguyen 6-0, 6-1 at number four.
UTD will play at NCAA Division I UT Arlignton at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
