ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team lost to UT Arlington 7-0 at the UTA Tennis Center Sunday morning.

The host Mavericks (5-1), members of the Division I Western Athletic Conference, started by taking the points at doubles. Juniors Rebecca Jackson and Saumya Vedula lost to Tara Gorinsek and Ana Paula Jimenez 6-1 at the top spot and sophomore Elyssa Ducret and Megan were defeated by Liz Chileno and Sarina Reinertsen 6-1 at number two.

The Comets (4-2), who are ranked #24 in Division III, lost all six singles matches to UTA. Suzuka Nishino dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Chileno at number one and Jackson fell to Bruna Cassampere 6-2, 6-2 at number three. Zeng lost at the third spot to Francisca Vergara 6-2, 6-1.

UT Dallas will resume American Southwest Conference East Division play at Howard Payne on Thursday at 3 p.m.
