BROWNWOOD, Texas - The #24 UT Dallas women's tennis team earned another American Southwest Conference East Division victory, defeating Howard Payne 7-0 at Nabers Tennis Center.

The Comets (5-2, 2-0 ASC East) earned three points to start as the Lady Jackets (0-5, 0-1 ASC East) only had four players.

Juniors Saumya Vedula and Rebecca Jackson defeated Lexie Nave and Victoria Ramos 8-2 at number one and sophomore Elyssa Ducret and Megan Zeng also won 8-2 against Nina Delafuente and Zoe Sprayberry in second doubles. Jackson and Vedula are now 6-1 in doubles on the year.

In singles, senior Suzuka Nishino, ranked #10 in the nation, moved to 5-2 on the year by defeating Nave 6-1, 6-0 in the top flight. Jackson won at number three against Sprayberry, 6-1, 6-0, to move to 5-2 on the year.
