RICHARDSON, Texas - The #28 UT Dallas women's tennis team moved to 3-0 in American Southwest Conference East Division play with a 9-0 victory over Ozarks Friday afternoon at the UTD Tennis Courts.
The Comets (7-3) won easily, giving up just seven points to the Eagles (0-9, 0-1 ASC East).Â
Juniors Suamya Vedula and
Rebecca Jackson won 8-0 at number one doubles against Annie Nelligan and Tatum Hatridge, as did the sophomore number two tandem of
Elyssa Ducret and
Megan Zeng did over Lea Terrell and Sedalia Shumaker.
In singles, senior
Suzuka Nishino defeated Hatridge 6-0, 6-1 in the top spot. Ducret won 6-0, 6-0 at number four over Emily Saniseng and Zeng was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Kelsey Smith in the fifth flight.
Tisha Nakakes-Nguyen also won 6-0, 6-0 at number six over Skylar Frazier.
The Comets will be off until Monday, March 20 when they host Cal Lutheran at 10 a.m.
