RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year on Wednesday. The Comets, under head coach Jason Hirsch, had a 3.20 grade point average. This is the fifth time the men's program have won the award.

A total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 179 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
