NORTON, Mass. - The UT Dallas men's soccer team started 2023 with a 0-0 tied against Wheaton (Mass.) at Keefe Stadium Friday afternoon.
The Comets outshot the host Lyons 7-5, but Wheaton recorded the only shot on goal in the contest. Both teams took three corner kicks and the Lyons led in fouls 15-7.
UTD took six shots in the second half, including the finalÂ
attempt of the game in the 87th minute which went high.

- Friday's game was the eighth season-opening shutout in program history.
