BABSON PARK, Mass. - The UT Dallas men's soccer team ended their trip to Massachusetts with a 1-0 loss to Babson at Hartwell-Rogers Field Sunday afternoon.
The host Beavers (2-0) scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute when Justin Stone found the net on a corner kick from Sam Morgan.
The Comets (0-1-1) held a 16-10 shots advantage and 5-3 on goal. UTD had multiple opportunities to score, with
Kane Kidwell's shot from point-blank range being stopped by Babson keeper Walker White in the 46th minute. Senior midfielder
Vaughn Morgan pushed a shot just over the crossbar in the 76th minute and sophomore
Luke Harris' header to the upper right corner in the 80th minute was stopped by White.Â
Each team recorded five corner kicks and combined for 47 fouls and seven yellow cards.
