RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team recorded another shutout, blanking Hendrix 2-0 in the Comets' home opener at UTD Soccer Field Friday afternoon.
The Comets (5-0) now have five consecutive shutouts to start 2023 and are one of five teams across NCAA Division III yet to allow a goal.Â
Senior forward
Sierra Foster opened the scoring just 13 minutes into the game, receiving a pass from fellow senior
Kate Crowe. Foster picked up an assist of her own, finding freshman forward
Kate Meyer in the 18th minute.
UTD outshout the Warriors (5-1), who came into the game without giving up a goal, 20-6 overall and 13-4 on goal. The Comets also led 3-0 in corner kicks and committed more fouls - 6-3.
UT Dallas Notes
- Foster recorded a goal and an assist for the third time this season, giving her four of each on the year.
- Foster's goal was her sixth career game-winner.
- Meyer found the net for the first time in her collegiate career.
- Crowe's assist was the second in her career.

Jade Press tied her season-best with four saves in goal. She now has eight shutouts in her last nine games, dating back to 2022.
