UTD Men's Soccer Blasts Dallas 4-0

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team defeated Dallas 4-0 at the UTD Soccer Field Thursday evening.

The Comets (2-3-2) scored just 3:58 into the contest. After a foul by the Crusader's (1-5-1) keeper, Hamza Syed quickly reset and passed to Cole Morgan, who put UTD up 1-0.

In the eighth minute, junior keeper Michael Hesse picked a UD header out of the air after a corner kick. He then tossed the ball almost to midfield where a darting Riley O'Donnell took control and raced down the left side of the field and blasted a shot from the left corner of the box, giving the Comets a 2-0 lead.

O'Donnell added his second score of the game in the 55th minute on a shot from the right side. The final goal came in the 76th minute when freshman Ben Paranidharan scored from the right side of the box after the UD keeper and a defender came away from the goal. O'Donnell set up the goal with a pass.

The Comets outshot the Crusaders 28-8 overall and 13-2 on goal. UTD led in corners 11-2 and UD committed more fouls, 11-4. Both teams were issued a pair of yellow cards.
