HOUSTON - The UT Dallas women's soccer team fought St. Thomas (Texas) to a 0-0 tie at Sabrecats Stadium Sunday afternoon.
It was the second straight draw for the Comets (6-0-2), as they have opened the 2023 campaign with eight consecutive shutouts. UTD joins NYU and #4 Washington-St. Louis as the only teams in NCAA Division III yet to allow a goal this season.
The Comets outshot the Celts (1-1-3) 9-4 and 3-2 on goal. UTD also led in corner kicks 2-1 and had more fouls by the count of 10-6. One yellow card was issued in the game.
This was the first-ever meeting between UTD and UST.
UT Dallas Notes
- Eight shutouts is tied for the second longest streak in program history with the 2006 squad. The 2018 Comets had a streak of 10 games without allowing a goal.
- Junior
Jade Press had two saves, giving her 11 shutouts in her last 12 games dating back to 2022.
