RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team opened the American Southwest Conference part of the schedule with a 1-1 tie against Howard Payne at UTD Soccer Field Thursday evening.
The Comets' (6-0-3, 0-0-1 ASC)) eight-match shutout streak came to an end when the Lady Jackets' (4-4-1, 0-0-1 ASC) Regan Noel scored unassisted after a chaotic corner kick in the 41st minute.Â
UTD tied the game in the 74th minute when senior
Ashlynn Thomas found the net off her right foot after a pass by freshman forward
Kate Meyer.
Both teams took 12 shots, while the Comets led 8-6 in shots on goal. UTD also had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks while both squads committed five fouls.Â

- The Comets remain unbeaten through the first nine games of the season.Â
