RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team continued its unbeaten streak with a 2-1 victory against Sul Ross State on Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (7-0-3) found the net in the 23rd minute as sophomore
Rylyn Reyes found freshman
Brooke Crow in open space and scored after a sprint downfield.
The contest remained 1-0 until the 85th minute when senior defender
Peyton Guidry drilled a penalty kick to give UTD an insurance goal. Just over a minute later, the Lobos (2-7) moved the deficit to one when Karina Gallegos scored off her own rebound.
SRSU managed two more shots in the final minute, but the home team held on for the victory.
The Lobos outshot the Comets 21-7 overall and 11-2 on goal. Sul Ross also led in corner kicks 5-1 and fouls 7-6.Â
