SHREVEPORT, La. - UT Dallas senior
Bella Granada scored the only goal of the game with 4:29 remaining as the Comets went on the road to defeat Centenary (La.) 1-0 at Mayo Field Friday evening.
Despite the dominating 26-2 shot count over the Ladies (0-3), the Comets (3-0) could not convert until senior
Sierra Foster blasted a shot which was saved by keeper Madison Ersoff, and was immediately knocked in by Granada.Â
UTD also held a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal and led 2-0 in corner kicks. Centenary led in fouls 10-6 and had one yellow card.
With the win, the Comets move to 3-0 with three shutouts under first-year head coach
Stephen Shirley.Â

- UTD improves to 3-0 with a trio of blankings all-time against Centenary, dating back to 2011.
- This is just the eighth time in program history the Comets have started 3-0 on the season, but just the second time with three consecutive shutouts.
- Granada, who took five shots, netted her first goal of the season and 14th of her career.Â
- Foster picked up an assist for the third straight game, moving her career tally to 13.
