RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball vaulted into second place in the American Southwest Conference standings with a 103-81 victory against LeTourneau at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (9-6, 5-2 ASC), who never trailed in the game, built a 41-13 advantage over the first 13 minutes of the contest. The YellowJackets (10-6, 5-3 ASC) went on a 29-12 run the rest of the half to make it 53-42 at the break.
LeTourneau came as close at 58-51 with 16:11 left but UTD continued to increase its lead until the 22-point margin at the buzzer.
The Comets shot a season-best 58.6 percent (34-for-58) from the field as well as 47.6 percent (10-for-21) three-point range and the second-best free throw percentage of 80.9 percent (25-for-31). They also recorded 36 rebounds, 26 assists, 17 turnovers, six blocks and 11 steals.
The YellowJackets shot 47.9 percent (32-for-67) from the floor, 6-for-21 from outside and 11-for-16 from the line with 30 boards, 19 assists, 17 turnovers, two blocks and nine steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- The Comets improve to 35-15 all-time against the YellowJackets.
- Sophomore center
Austin Page scored a career-high 28 points, going 11-for-14 from the field, with eight rebounds, three blocks and a steal.
- Guard
Donovan Souter was 5-for-8 from outside and 7-for-11 overall to score 19 points. He also pulled down five rebounds and with three steals.
- Junior
Nick Donnelly scored 15 points with a career-high seven assists.

- Freshman forward
Jordan Balderaz posted 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

- Guard Deonte Jackson led all players with 30 points, going 11-for-22 from the floor. He also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
- Caedmon Liebengood recorded 12 points and four rebounds.
- Christian Adams was 5-for-7 shooting with 10 points, five assists and three steals.
- Jackson Mayes added 10 points off the bench.
- Walker Blaine hit a trio of three-pointers for nine points.
