Comets Blank Cru 1-0

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to nine games after defeating Mary Hardin-Baylor 1-0 at the UTD Soccer Field Saturday evening.

The Comets (9-1-2) scored the only goal of the game in the 44th minute when senior midfielder Anton Van Efferink converted a penalty kick after a foul in the box.

The home team outshot the Cru (6-6-2) 14-3 overall and 8-1 on target. UTD also led in corner kicks 9-1.

UT Dallas Notes
- The game was the fifth shutout of the year for the Comets.
- Van Efferink's goal was his first of the year.
- Benny Lube took three shots, one on goal.
- Kayson Marriott, Riley O'Donnell, Cole Morgan, Eliott Detroyat and Osi Iyamah also recorded a shot on target each.
- Marriott, Julio De Los Reyes and Jet Thomson logged all 90 minutes.
- Sophomore keeper Anthony Alston recorded one save for his fourth shutout of the year.

Mary Hardin-Baylor Notes
- Aidan Aguilera recorded two shots, one on target.
- Karsen Macias also took a shot.
- Ethan Hilliard posted six saves in goal.
- Peighton Raisey was responsible for a team save.
- Chase Duhon, Sawyer Young, Dylan Vadnais and Yannis Benae played all 90 minutes.
