LONGVIEW, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team recorded its fifth consecutive shutout and eighth of the season with a 5-0 win over LeTourneau at LETU Soccer Field Thursday night.
The Comets (12-1-2) move their unbeaten streak to 12 contests, going 10-0-2 during that stretch.
The stingy defense limited the YellowJackets (4-7-5) to just four shots, one on target, while the offense took 22 shots with eight on goal.
Sophomore forward
Jacob Culpepper kickstarted the offensive attack in the 18th minute with an assist from
Eliott Detroyat. Senior
Riley O'Donnell scored with 26 seconds left before halftime on a pass from
Cole Morgan to make the game 2-0 at the break.
Carson Burden connected with Cayden Casubrn in the 51st minute for a goal, then scored one by himself in the 61st. O'Donnell struck again with six seconds left in the game, assisted by
Vaughn Morgan, for the final 5-0 score.

- Sophomore keeper
Anthony Alston posted one save and broke the school record with his fifth consecutive shutout in goal. He now has the second-longest scoreless streak in program history at 489 minutes.
- O'Donnell recorded his ninth career two-goal performance and moves into third in career points with 93.Â
- Burden now has four goals and four assists on the season, tying for second in team points as a freshman.
