RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball lost to #8/22 Colorado School of Mines 90-55 at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
The Comets (2-2), playing their second NCAA Division II opponent from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in as many days, jumped out to a 5-0 lead on a tip-in layup by
Austin Page and a fastbreak three-point from
Peyton Dulin. The Orediggers (3-1) scored the next 13 points to take the lead for the rest of the game, including a 36-21 advantage at halftime.
Mines outscored UTD 54-34 in the second period, shooting 63 percent (17-for-27) from the field and 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from outside.
For the game, the Comets shot 33.3 percent (16-for-48) overall, 5-for-19 from three-point range and 90 percent (18-of-20) from the free throw line. They also recorded 25 rebounds, 10 assists, 21 turnovers, three blocks and six steals.
The Orediggers, shot 51.7 percent (31-of-60) from the floor, 14-for-30 behind the three-point line and 14-of-18 at the line with 35 boards, 26 assists, 11 turnovers, three blocks and 14 steals.

- Sophomore forward
Jordan Balderaz led the Comets with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, a block and two steals.
- Senior guard
Nick Donnelly recorded double-digit scoring performance for the third consecutive game, netting 11 points on a trio of three-pointers.
- Page finished with 10 points, four boards and three assists.
- Dulin scored five points, dished out a pair of assists and blocked a shot.
Colorado School of Mines Notes
- Juani Dassie led Mines with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, with three steals off the bench.
- Riley Schroeder had 12 points and five assists.
- Markus Pastorcic-Straun scored 11 points and dished out six assists.
- Caleb Clark led the Orediggers with six rebounds.
