CLARKSVILLE, Ark.- The UT Dallas women's tennis team shutout Ozarks 9-0 in American Southwest Conference play at the Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Friday.
The Comets (4-4, 2-0 ASC East) lost three total games to the Eagles (1-8, 0-1 ASC East).
Juniors
Elyssa Ducret and
Megan Zeng won 8-0 over Annie Nelligan and Ja'Liyah Bradford 8-0 in number one doubles and
Elsha Valluru and
Jhastine Red Ballado won 8-0 at the second spot. Freshmen
Riya Matharoo and
Reika Nagai earned an 8-1 victory at three in their first match teaming together.
Playing at number one, Matharoo swept Nelligan 6-0, 6-0 as did Nagai at two. Zeng won 6-1, 6-0 at three and Ducret also won without giving up a game at four. Valluru took a 6-0, 6-0 win at five and Ballado was a 6-1, 6-0 victor at six.

- Ducret moved into a tie for seventh place on UTD's career doubles victories list with 32.
- Ballado won her first singles match of the year.
