COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The UT Dallas men's soccer team ended its trip to Colorado with a 1-1 tie against #13 Ohio Northern at Stewart Field Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first half, Polar Bears (4-1-2) got on the board early in the second period with William Shaffer finding the net in the 50th minute. The Comets (2-1-1) tied it up in the 62nd minute with junior
Hamza Syed's goal on an assist from senior
Cole Morgan.
ONU outshot UTD 14-11 overall and 8-5 on goal. The Polar Bears also led in corner kick chances 6-2 while the Comets had more fouls, 12-5.
UT Dallas Notes
- Syed's goal was the second of the season and fifth of his career.
- Morgan recorded his seventh career assist.
