COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The UT Dallas men's soccer team ended its trip to Colorado with a 1-1 tie against #13 Ohio Northern at Stewart Field Saturday evening.

After a scoreless first half, Polar Bears (4-1-2) got on the board early in the second period with William Shaffer finding the net in the 50th minute. The Comets (2-1-1) tied it up in the 62nd minute with junior Hamza Syed's goal on an assist from senior Cole Morgan.

ONU outshot UTD 14-11 overall and 8-5 on goal. The Polar Bears also led in corner kick chances 6-2 while the Comets had more fouls, 12-5.

UT Dallas Notes
- Syed's goal was the second of the season and fifth of his career.
- Morgan recorded his seventh career assist.
- Riley O'Donnell took two shots on goal.
- Jacob Culpepper and Benny Lube also added a shot on goal.
- Sophomore Anthony Alston came up with a season-high seven saves in goal.
- Kayson Marriott, Kaleem Shabout and Julio De Los Reyes each logged 90 minutes on the back line.
- This was the first match between UTD and ONU.

Ohio Northern Notes
- Shaffer's goal was his third of the season.
- Ryan Sommefeld and Vinnie Chaput assisted the goal.
- Sommerfreld led the Polar Bears with two shots on goal, while six other players each took one.
- Carson Zurmehly posted two saves. 
- Noah Zebrak played the full match.
