RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team posted its first shutout of the season, defeating Centenary (La.) 1-0 at the UTD Soccer Field Thursday night.
The Comets (3-1-1) scored the only goal of the night int he 69th minute on a penalty kick from senior forward
Riley O'Donnell after a handball in the box.
The Gents (3-2-1) only managed eight shots, two on goal while the home team took 22 attempts with 10 on target. UTD led in corner kicks 7-5. Centenary committed more fouls 12-10.
UT Dallas Notes
- O'Donnell's is now 4-for-4 in his career on PK opportunities. He also moved into fifth place on the Comet career list with his 31st goal.
- Sophomore
Anthony Alston recorded his first career shutout with two saves.

Kayson Marriott played all 90 minutes on the back line. He was joined by

Diego Flamenco to secure the shutout.

- Sebastian Lutin made eight saves in goal. Defender Dylan Clark was also responsible for a team save.
