BELTON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team posted its third shutout in a row, defeating Mary Hardin-Baylor 2-0 at the Cru Sports Plex Saturday night.
The Comets (5-1-1) limited the Cru (3-5-1) to just one shot on goal in the 90 minutes.
In the 12th minute,
Hamza Syed blasted a corner kick to the far right of the goal, which found
Julio De Los Reyes scoring on a header. UTD went up 2-0 in the 30th minute after a goal kick from keeper
Anthony Alston. The ball was misplayed by a UMHB defender deep in the box and
Cole Morgan beat goalie Ethan Hilliard with a sliding goal.
The Comets took seven shots, five on goal, while the Cru were held to six shots. Both teams took three corner kicks and committed nine fouls.

- De Los Reyes' goal is the third of his career and his second game-winner.
- Syed posted his second assist of the season and seventh as a Comet.
- Morgan scored for the third time this year and 10th in his career.
- Alston came up with one save in the shutout.

- Hilliard had two saves in the first half while Hayden Owens stopped one shot in a scoreless second.
- Carter Simpson took the only shot on goal for the Cru.
- Peyton Hoyt, Karsen Macias, Xjavier Martinez, Patrick Pither and Peighton Raisey each had a shoot.
- Chase Duhon, Sawyer Young, Dylan Vadnais and Yannis Beane played all 90 minutes.
