RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer improved to 2-0 on the young season after defeating Schreiner 4-2 at the UTD Soccer Field Sunday afternoon.
The visiting Mountaineers (1-3) scored first when Owen Harris found the net on a pass from Zaaron Gonzalez. Schreiner held on to the lead until 16 seconds into the second half. Sophomore defender

UTD (2-0) went up in the 60th minute on a
Jayden Messiah goal after a deflection in the box.
Riley O'Donnell gave the Comets a 3-1 advantage on assists from
Benny Lube and
Carson Burden in the 75th minute. Jacob Culppper added one more goal in the 88th minute after stealing the ball and scoring.Â
Gonazalez assisted a Travis Matthews goal with 31 seconds left to make the contest 4-2.
UTD outshot Schreiner 28-4 overall and 19-2 on goal. The Comets led in corner kicks, 6-1, and both teams committed 13 fouls.
