RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team competed in the 700th game in program history Tuesday, defeating Dallas Christian 84-69 at the UTD Activity Center.
With the victory, the Comets (7-6) move to 436-264 all-time for a .623 winning percentage. Of the 700 games played,
Jared Fleming has been at 358 – 42 as a head coach, 203 as an assistant and 113 as a player (playing in 102). The Comets have a record of 250-108 (.698) in those games.
Other than being tied at 2-2 in the first minute of the game, UTD led the entire way. They led the Crusaders (2-12) 42-29 at halftime. DCC cut the deficit to 10 points early in the second period, but the home team answered with a 15-3 rally for a 23-point lead and to take control of the contest for good.
UTD shot a 50.8 percent (30-for-59) from the field, 9-of-24 from three-point range and 15-of-20 at the free throw line. They also recorded 44 rebounds, a season-high 24 assists, 17 turnovers, five blocked shots and eight steals.
DCC shot 43.1 percent (28-of-65) overall, 9-of-20 from outside and 4-for-6 at the line with 26 rebounds, 20 assists, 13 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.
UT Dallas Notes
- Senior guard
Nick Donnelly led the Comets with 19 points, draining five three-pointers. He also posted three assists, a block and two steals.
- Freshman
Peyton Dulin scored 14 points with eight rebounds and three assists.
- Center
Austin Page added 12 points, five boards and five assists.
- Sophomore forward
Jordan Balderaz recorded 10 points, four boards and three assists.
- Forward
Zach Spitzer added five points to go with season-bests nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Matthew Soto scored eight points.
- Freshman forward
Bryce Potts was 4-for-4 shooting for eight points.
Dallas Christian Notes
- Ny'gel Boozer led all players with 21 points. He was 5-for-9 from outside and recorded three rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Grayson Bell and Balke Walker each added eight points each.
- Nick Lancit dished out four assists with six points.
 - Rich Thomas scored eight points off the bench.
