SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - For the second consecutive night, the UT Dallas men's basketball team lost to Westminster (Utah) at the Behnken Field House Saturday. The host Griffins (2-0) topped the Comets (0-2) 90-81.
Westminster led 40-30 at halftime and maintained the advantage throughout the second period. UTD cut the deficit down to seven late in the game.
The Comets shot 40 percent (28-of-70) overall, 11 of-33 from three-point range and 14-of-20 at the free throw line. They also recorded 37 rebounds, 18 assists, 12 turnovers, two blocks and nine steals.
The Griffins made 50 percent (30-of-60) of their shots, 9-of-25 from outside and 21-of-33 at the stripe with 42 rebounds, 21 assists, 14 turnovers, four blocks and six steals.
UT Dallas Performances
- Redshirt freshman guard
Kris White scored a career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He was 4-for-8 from three-point range.Â
- Freshman center
Hudson Goellner had 15 points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

Jacob Smithey added 14 points, going 4-of-6 from outside.
- Sophomore guard
Peyton Dulin had 12 points, four assists and three steals.

Westminster Performances
- Michael Frazier led the Griffins with 21 points and 9 rebounds, going 7-for-9 from the field and 7-for-7 at the free throw line.
- Colin Hayes scored 13 points with two steals.
- Jonah El-Farrah added seven points, six boards and a pair of assists.
- Boston Painter was 4-for-4 for nine points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
