MARSHALL, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team picked up a 4-2 road victory over East Texas Baptist at Veterans Memorial Tennis Complex Friday afternoon.

The host Tigers (0-1) opened play by taking the doubles point. The Comets (2-2) won at number three with sophomores Chloe O'Connor and Kendall Curley taking down Fernanda Ruiz Burkart and Isabella Macquet 6-4. The duo improves to 3-1 on the season.

UTD rallied to win the match with four singles victories. Sophomore Reika Nagai earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Monique Ybarra in the top spot and sophomore Elsha Valluru topped Ruiz Burkart 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) at three.

Curley held off Jayde Childress 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) at number four and O'Conntor defeated Isabelle Duarte 6-3, 6-0 in five singles.

The Comets will return to action on Saturday, March 8 when they take on Hardin-Simmons at 1 p.m. at home.
