UTD Falls to #22 St. Edward's

AUSTIN, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team lost 91-73 to St. Edward's in Lone Star Conference action at the Recreation and Convocation Center Thursday evening.

The Comets (5-13, 4-6 LSC) led 12-5 early, but the Hilltoppers (18-4, 7-4 LSC) came back to take a 35-27 advantage into halftime. SEU shot 53.9 percent (21-of-39) and hit 10 three-pointers in the second half to secure the win.

UTD shot 40 percent (26-of-65) from the floor, 9-of-34 from three-point territory and 12-of-18 at the line with 42 rebounds, 18 assists, 11 turnovers, three blocks and four steals.

The Hilltoppers shot 45.8 percent (33-of-72) overall, 14-of-33 from outside and 11-of-14 at the free throw line with 42 boards, 28 assists, seven turnovers, six blocked shots and three steals.

UT Dallas Performances
- Sophomore forward Bryce Potts recorded career-highs of 15 points and eight rebounds.
- Sophomore guard Peyton Dulin recorded 13 points and six assists.
- Junior Zach Spitzer posted 11 points, nine rebounds and a block.
- Senior guard Everett Bates hit a pair of three-pointers en route to a career-high eight points. He also had two steals.
- Matthew Soto had six points and five assists.

St. Edward's Performances
- Blake Nielsen led SEU with 31 points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists.
- Jamison Kay recorded 16 points, nine boards and four assists.
- Ryder Bradley had a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists.
