RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team lost to DBU 88-79 in a Lone Star Conference Contest at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
Before the game, the Comets (6-19, 5-12 LSC) honored senior guards

The home team got of to a good start, shooting 45.8 percent (11-of-24) in the first half, while limiting the Patriots (22-6, 16-2 LSC) to 25 percent (9-of-36). UTD led 33-28 at halftime.Â
DBU, who are receiving votes in the current NABC Top 25 Poll, made its first 10 shot attempts in the second half and a 56-45 lead after a 28-12 run.Â
The Patriots led 82-70 with 2:03 remaining. The Comets scored seven straight points, capped by a steal and a
Will Warren dunk to cut the deficit to 82-77 with 47 seconds remaining. DBU made six free throws down the stretch while UTD made one basket, sealing the nine-point victory. The Patriots shot 75 percent (21-of-28) in the second half.Â
For the game, the Comets shot 49.1 percent (26-of-53) overall, 9-of-26 from three-point territory and 18-of-25 at the line with 35 rebounds, 20 assists, 22 turnovers, five blocked shots and five steals.
DBU shot 46.9 percent (30-of-64) from the floor, 6-of-24 from outside and 22-of-30 at the charity stripe with 34 rebounds, 21 assists, 12 turnovers, two blocks and 12 steals.

Kris White led the Comets with 17 points point. He was 6-for-6 shooting and 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.
- Freshman center
Hudson Goellner recorded 13 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
- Soto finished with nine points and three assists.Â
- Warren had nine points, three assists and three rebounds.
- Sophomore
Bryce Potts added nine points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

DBU Performances
- Bishop Jones led DBU with 19 points off the bench.Â
- Drew Calderon scored 15 points with two steals.
