Comets Topped by Aggies on the Road

LAWTON, Okla. - The UT Dallas men's basketball team lost to Cameron 88-79 in a Lone Star Conference contest at Aggie Gymnasium Thursday night.

The host Aggies (7-20, 4-15 LSC) led 42-36 at halftime and extended the advantage to 11 points early in the second period. The Comets (7-20, 6-13 LSC) went on 14-1 run to go up 58-56 with 11:44 remaining.

Cameron answered back and led by nine at the 5:18 mark. UTD managed to make the game 81-77 with 2:05 left after a Peyton Dulin basket. The Aggies ended the game on a 7-2 rally for the nine-point victory. 

The Comets shot 43.4 percent (33-of-76) from the field, 5-of-29 from three-point range and 8-for-16 at the free throw line. They also recorded 44 rebounds, 12 assists, 14 turnovers, two blocked shots and six steals.

The Aggies shot 50 percent (34-for-68) overall, 14-of-32 from outside and 6-of-9 at the line with 33 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.

UT Dallas Performances
- Freshman center Hudson Goellner recorded his fourth double-double of the year on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
- Junior forward Zach Spitzer also had a double with a season-high 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- Freshman Will Warren scored 14 points with two assists.
- Peyton Dulin added 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals off the bench.
- Matthew Soto dished out four assists.
- Guard Kris White chipped in eight points. 

Cameron Performances
- Arzhonte Dallas played all 40 minutes and scored 28 points with six rebounds, three assists and three steals. He was 10-for-17 shooting and 7-for-11 from three.
- Jaden Juarez had 22 points and four rebounds.
- Jordan Mitchell recorded 17 points and five boards.
- Michael Jones had nine points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Up Next
The Comets will wrap up the 2025-26 campaign at Oklahoma Christian in Edmond on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
