Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

UTD Topped by #7 Lubbock Christian

RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's basketball team was defeated by #7 Lubbock Christian 86-60 in Lone Star Conference action at the UTD Activity Center Thursday night. 

The Chaparrals (20-3, 11-2 LSC) shot 59 percent (22-of-37) in the first half, while the Comets (5-15, 4-8 LSC) were held to 27 percent (8-of-30), giving the visiting team a 55-23 lead at halftime. 

UTD outscored LCU 37-31 in the second period, going 6-for-14 from three-point range.

For the game, the Comets shot 35.6 percent (21-of-59) from the field, 7-of-28 from outside and 11-of-18 at the free throw line to go with 31 rebounds, 15 assists, nine turnovers, four blocks and three steals.

The Chaps shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) overall, 8-of-21 from beyond the arc and 10-of-14 at the line with 43 boards, 19 assists, six turnovers, three blocks and eight steals.

UT Dallas Performances
- Freshman center Hudson Goellner led the Comets with 15 points and four rebounds. 
- Sophomore forward Bryce Potts scored 11 points off the bench on 5-of-5 shooting.
- Jordan Balderaz also added 11 points.
- Junior Zach Spitzer recorded seven points, four rebounds and a block.
- Peyton Dulin dished out five assists.
- Guard Christian O'Connor had four rebounds and two assists.

Lubbock Christian Performances
- Two Chaparrals recorded double-doubles, led by Antonio Pusateri's 26 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
- Amondo Miller Jr. had 24 points, 13 boards and three steals.
- Leo Nordeberg posted 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, a block and two steals.
- Kendall Dow scored 12 points.
