RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team earned its first victory of the season, defeating CSU Pueblo 5-2 at the UTD Tennis Courts, Friday afternoon.
The Comets (1-4) led 4-2 after starting with singles against the ThunderWolves (0-9). UTD took three, four, five and six with victories by
Reika Nagai,
Namrata Makhija,
Sheryl Gerald and
Kendall Curley, respectively.
The Comets swept doubles with Makhija and Robinson defeating Margo Aebischer and Fernanda Martinez 6-1 at the top spot.
Presley Churchman and Gerald won at number two 6-2 and Nagai and
Elsha Valluru won 6-2 in the third spot.
UTD will be back in action at noon Sunday against Arkansas Tech.
