RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's tennis team put up another strong fight in a losing effort to Arkansas Tech, 4-2, at the UTD Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon.
The Comets (1-5) won the doubles point with freshmen
Presley Churchman and
Sheryl Gerald defeating Natalya Montoya and Lucia Perez 6-3 at number two. Juniors
Reika Nagai and
Elsha Valluru topped Rebecca Arnold and Nabilah Dunn 7-6 (7-4) in the third spot.
Gerald also won at number five singles, defeating Montoya 6-4, 6-4.Â
Arnold won over freshman
Namrata Makhija 7-5, 7-5 at number four.
UTD will return to the court on Thursday against McKendree at 2 p.m. at home.
