RICHARDSON, Texas - Four UT Dallas golfers were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in two-thirds of the team's tournaments or the conference championship.
Tyler Durden was selected for the third time for the Comet men, while
Hayden Trost earned the award for the second time alongside first-time winners
Carla van Remmen and
Brooke Yount.
Durden, a senior from Austin, Texas, was an All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention after averaging 73.15 strokes over 27 rounds. He posted five top 10 finishes and 12 rounds of par or better. Durden set the school record with 88 birdies, 27 rounds and 25 counting scores. He closed out his career as the UTD all-time leader in rounds played, counting scores and birdies. Durden is majoring in Arts Technology & Emerging Communication.
Trost, a junior from Billings, Mont., played in five tournaments, averaging 84.92 shots with 10 birdies. She was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and served as the UTD chapter's vice president. Trost is majoring in Economics.
van Remmen, a sophomore from Calgary, Alberta, averaged 79.85 shots per round with 21 birdies and one eagle. She posted a low round of 74 and tied ninth at the Southern Colorado Open. van Remmen is majoring in Finance.
Yount, a sophomore from League City, Texas, was the LSC Championship Individual Medalist, earning All-LSC First Team honors. She averaged 75.78 strokes per round with 52 birdies and a school record five eagles. Yount is majoring in Finance.
