ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - In its second match of the day, the UT Dallas volleyball team suffered a 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 loss to Augustana (S.D.) at the Duke Wells Center.
In the opening set, the Comets (1-1) led 17-15, before the Vikings (1-0) tied it up at 17-17. At 19-19, AU scored the final six points to capture the first set. The Vikings hit .444 on 16 kills in the first set, while the Comets recorded 11 kills and hit .172.
Up 18-17, Augustana pulled away from UTD with a 6-0 run in the second set. They finished off winning 25-18.
The third set was close throughout, with the Comets leading 19-18 late. The Vikings took the lead with a 4-0 run, which was answered by two points from UTD. Augustana scored the final three points to finish off the match.
For the match, UTD hit .064 with 28 kills, three aces, four total blocks and 35 digs. AU hit .302 with 43 kills, eight aces, 10 blocks and 39 digs.

Laura See led the Comets with seven kills, two solo blocks and a .467 hitting percentage.
