COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The UT Dallas cross country teams returned to action Friday at the Texas A&M Invitational on the Watts Cross Country Course. The Comet women finished 12th with 317 points, while the men were 13th with 353 points.

First-year runner Joan Jerono once again paced the UTD women with a 32nd-place finish. She ran the 5K course in 18:24.3, the second-fastest time in program history after breaking the record last week.

Fellow freshman Marianna Salazar was 73rd in 19:18.6 and second-year Lili-Mai Pigeon was 83rd in 19:43.5. Bharvi Varu (93rd, 20:21.1) and Ellie Suo-Anttila (106th, 21:02.2), rounded out the scoring for the Comets.

On the men's side, Alex Bozhilov posted an 8K mark of 26:00.0, finishing 48th with the 20th-fastest time in UTD history. A trio of first-year runners took the next three spots for the Comets: Sebastian Calderon-Espinosa (77th, 26:43.6), Dev Kumar (89th, 27:08.0) and Jonathan Marsh (92nd, 27:18.4). Anthony Stuart followed at 102nd place in 27:36.3.

UTD will be off until Saturday, September 26, when they run at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla.
