Ichimura is one of the most versatile student-athletes at UT Dallas, becoming a significant reserve for the women's basketball team during the 2007-08 season after batting .314 as a freshman on the Comets' softball squad.

In 2009-10, with sophomore eligibility on the hardwood, Ichimura reprised her role as a catalyst off the bench before moving into the starting lineup. She averaged 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds for the Comets, who posted a 19-7 record and earned their fourth straight American Southwest Conference Tournament berth.

She missed the entire 2008-09 basketball season due to a knee injury, but is expected to contribute to coach Polly Thomason's offense once again.

Ichimura has been an Academic All-Conference selection in both basketball and softball, and earned a spot on the All-ASC East Division Honorable Mention list following the 2007 and 2008 softball seasons.

2009-10: Fired in 4.8 points per game while grabbing 3.3 boards...started in 23 of the Comets' 26 games...was UTD's top rebounder in four games...shot 73.1% at the free throw line and swiped 31 steals...named to the ASC All-Academic Team for the second time in three years.

2008:09: INJURED

2007-08: Played in 26 games, averaging 5.1 points and 2.5 rebounds...logged more minutes (25.5 mpg) than any other UTD reserve...had 52 assists and 16 steals as Chelsea Edwards' back-up.

HIGH SCHOOL: Member of state 5A championship basketball team at Plano West HS (2005-06)...three-time All-District honors in softball, including First Team honors as a senior...named to state All-Academic Team in 2006 (softball)...played in DFW All-Star game as senior (softball)
