After establishing a new single-season record for kills in 2008, Wetz, a talented frontcourt player, was placed on the American Southwest Conference East Division First Team for the third straight year in 2009.

She led the Comets in kills during her first two seasons and has garnered 847 throughout her three-year career. One of UT Dallas’ primary offensive threats, Wetz will headline a cast of talented seniors—including Jessica Nassau and Nikki Calverley—attempting to capture the Comets’ third consecutive ASC title in 2010.

2009: Notched 187 kills, averaging 2.28 per set…recorded 264 digs and 15 service aces…named to the ASC East Division First Team along with three other Comets…was an honorable mention addition to the AVCA’s All-South Region.

2008: Led UTD with 361 kills, a single-season record…averaged 3.31 kills per set while hitting at a clip of .262…also led the Comets in digs, collecting 351 (3.22 per set)…added 41 blocks and played in 109 games…received AVCA All-South Region honors.

2007: As a freshman, won the ASC East Division Newcomer of the Year award…named to the ASC East Division First Team…tallied a team-best 301 kills in 88 games…averaged 3.42 kills per set while chipping in 2.91 digs and 30 blocks…won East Division Offensive Player of the Week honors twice throughout the fall season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-time team MVP—and captain—at James Madison HS (San Antonio, TX)…named to the All-District First Team three times...also a member of the Academic All-District Team…was an active member of the National Honor Society.
