Katie Albrecht joined the UT Dallas staff as a volunteer assistant in August 2023.
In her first season, the Comets went 12-13 and finished third in the American Southwest Conference at 10-4. Albrecht helped coach five All-ASC selections.
She joined the Comets after a four-year playing career as a defensive specialist and libero at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Albrecht played in 83 matches and 272 sets in her career, racking up 583 digs (2.14 per set), 21 aces, 42 assists and six kills.
From West Bend, Wis., she lettered for years in both volleyball and track & field for West Bend East High School.
Albrecht graduated from UWSP in 2022 with a bachelor's in Psychology.
