RICHARDSON, TX (04.13.12) - The UT Dallas men's tennis needed less than two hours to dispatch East Texas Baptist Friday as the Comets downed the short-handed Tigers, 9-0, in American Southwest Conference East Division play.

After going 3-0 in doubles play, the Comets (9-3) did not give up a game in singles play to complete the 9-0 sweep of ETBU, which brought just five players to the dual. Sander Kaasjager and Guilherme Portela opened the match with a 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles and Bryan Leib and Ian Lucio won the hardest-fought match of the day, earning a 8-4 win at No 1 doubles.

Dustin Foster, Kaasjager, David  Yeh, Kirby Chenkin and Josh Minns all earned 6-0, 6-0, singles wins.

The Comets wrap up the regular season Saturday with a non-conference match at Southwestern. Match time is 2 p.m. in Georgetown.
