RICHARDSON, Texas - Five UT Dallas student-athletes to the 2025 Academic All-District® Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 75 percent of matches.
Junior
Benjamin Dubois from the Comet men and seniors
Megan Zeng,
Jhastine Red Ballado and sophomores
Reika Nagai and
Kendall Curley from the UTD women were honored.
Dubois, from Bromont, Quebec, posted a 9-5 record in singles and 8-6 in doubles. He is majoring in Psychology. This is the second Academic All-District selection for Dubois.
Zeng, of Austin, Texas, earned Academic All-District honors for the third time in her career. He was named American Southwest Conference Player of the Week once this season and competed at number one doubles. Zeng is majoring in Healthcare Management.
Ballado, from Munoz, Philippines, was 5-5 in singles and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma this year. She is majoring in Accounting.
Nagai, of Frisco, Texas, played number one in both singles and doubles for the Comets and was named ASC Player of the Week. She is majoring in Biochemistry.
Curley, from Keller, Texas, posted a 6-4 record in doubles this season and was an ASC Player of the Week. She is majoring in Marketing.
